Private Instruction:  Study beginning at the age of  7 including lessons with Janet Papworth,  Juilliard graduate Brandon Stewart, and New England Conservatory professor/ concert pianist Ed Bednar.

Education: Bachelors Degree in Professional Music from Berklee College of Music. Emphasis in Piano Performance and Music Education. Degree work includes ensemble training, studio recording, composition, orchestral arranging, and improvisation study.

Work: Carly is currently a choral conductor at American Leadership Academy High School. Carly is continually composing and arranging songs for local church and Christmas performances. She is currently compiling her own compositions for a line of children’s piano method books as well as a comprehensive music theory book for beginners. She recently arranged and performed a musical number that was performed at the Gammage theatre in Arizona for a Mitt Romney event.

Other Musical Experience: Pianist for state and local competitions during undergraduate studies in Massachusetts, church choir and solo accompanist, St. Peter’s church pianist and organist for weekly mass, Huntington theatre rehearsal accompanist. Music teacher at Kunming Guanghau School in Kunming, China as well as Changzhou School in the Jiangsu Province, China.

Carly was recently married and is living in Mesa, Arizona. She teaches from her home studio as well as in the homes of families in the east valley area. 

In addition to music Carly also enjoys, travel, photography, eating healthy, visiting family, reading a good book, and exploring Arizona nature with her husband. She has been involved in many humanitarian trips around the world including trips to India, China, Belize, and most recently Tonga.
